Dirt work is where a property goes from cleared to ready. Around Buna, Vidor, Silsbee, Lumberton and all across Southeast Texas, that usually means a pad — for a house, a barn, a shop, a mobile home — built up out of the wet, shaped to shed water, and packed so it doesn't move. It means a driveway that gets you from the road to the house in February without ruts. And it means fill dirt put where the ground is low, spread and worked in instead of dumped and left.
This is dozer country work and it's what the company was named for. We cut and spread pads, build and re-gravel driveways, place fill, and shape ground that drains — on new land we just cleared or on a property you've had for years. If the job needs digging first, the excavator handles it, and the finish grading gets done before we load up, not left for "later."

Everything in Southeast Texas construction starts with getting above the water. Flat ground here isn't the blessing it looks like — when the big rains come, and they come every year, water sits on it. A proper pad lifts the house or barn out of that: built up with the right dirt, crowned so water runs off instead of under, and compacted in lifts so the slab poured on top doesn't crack when the clay moves.
The difference between a pad done right and dirt pushed into a hump shows up two years later, in the foundation. We build pads the patient way — the right material, spread in layers, packed as it rises — because the cheapest part of any build is the dirt, and it's also the only part you can't fix once the slab is on it.
A driveway around here earns its keep in the winter wet, not the summer dry. The ones that fail all fail the same way: no crown, no ditch, gravel dumped on mud. We build them to shed water — base shaped and crowned, gravel spread and worked in, and the low spots that would've become mud holes fixed while it's still cheap.
We cut new driveways through cleared ground, rebuild old ones that have worn down to ruts, and re-gravel drives that just need a fresh lift. Culvert at the road, curve through the trees, parking pad at the shop — tell us where you want to drive and we'll build the road that gets you there.
Half of dirt work is really water work. That low corner that stays soggy till June, the spot where the yard swallows a mower, the slope sending every storm at your slab — the fix is dirt, put in the right place and shaped so the water goes somewhere better. We place and work fill properly: spread, shaped into the grade around it, and packed so it stays where we put it.
Some of those jobs are quick and some turn into real grading projects — either way it starts with eyes on the ground. Get us out for a free look after the next good rain if you can; watching where the water actually goes tells us more than a dry-day walk ever will.
