About Our Company

Three Generations in the Dirt.

Pollard's Dozer Service started in 1999 when Reid's grandpa put a blade in the dirt, and the family hasn't stopped pushing since. Today it's dad and son running our own dozer, excavator and tracked mulcher across Southeast Texas — clearing land, grinding brush, building pads, shaping grades and digging ponds. Word of mouth built this business; doing the work right is what keeps it.

Why Southeast Texas Landowners Call Us

Three Generations Deep

Started by Grandpa in 1999, run by Dad today, with the third generation on the iron. The name on the machine is the family doing the work — and answering the phone.

One Crew, Whole Job

Dozer, excavator and tracked mulcher under one roof. Clearing, dirt work, grading and the pond get done as one job with one estimate — not three contractors pointing at each other.

Straight Answers, Free Estimates

We walk the property, tell you what the ground actually needs — and what it does not — and hand you a real number. No phone guesses, no surprise extras.

Southeast Texas Born

What You Can Expect

How a Job With Pollard's Runs

From the first walk of the property to the last pass of the blade, here is exactly how it goes.

1

Walk the Land

We come see the property — the trees, the brush, the ground under it, and how wet it runs. What you want cleared, what's worth keeping, and what the job really takes. No blind quotes over the phone.

2

Straight Estimate

You get a free estimate with a real number and a real timeline. It covers what's included — clearing, dirt, shaping, debris — and it holds unless the scope changes.

3

Bring the Iron

The dozer, excavator or mulcher shows up when we said and does the job the way we quoted it. Anything unexpected in the ground, you hear about it immediately, not on the invoice.

4

Leave It Right

We walk the finished ground with you before we call it done. Clean lines, shaped banks, a pad you can build on or a pasture you can mow. Done means you say it's done.

FAQ

Questions Landowners Ask Us Most

The questions Southeast Texas property owners ask us most. Don't see yours? Call — you'll be talking to the people who run the machines.

Call (409) 289-0802

What areas do you serve?
We're based in Buna and we work all over Southeast Texas: Buna, Evadale, Kirbyville, Vidor, Mauriceville, Orange, Silsbee, Lumberton, Kountze, Sour Lake, Jasper and down to Beaumont. If you're anywhere in the Jasper, Orange, Hardin, Newton or Jefferson county area, call — the answer is usually yes.
What services do you offer?
If it's dirt or brush, it's probably our work: land clearing, brush and underbrush clearing, forestry mulching, dirt work and pad building, excavation, land grading and leveling, and pond construction. One family crew with a dozer, excavator and tracked mulcher — from wooded lot to build-ready ground.
Do you do stump grinding?
No — stump grinding is one thing we don't offer, and we'd rather tell you that straight than book a job we don't do. Tell us what you're trying to end up with, and we'll tell you honestly what our equipment handles and what it doesn't.
How much does land clearing cost?
It depends on the acreage, how thick the growth is, the ground conditions, and what you want done with the debris. That's why we look at the property first — the estimate is free, and you get a real number instead of a phone guess. For ballpark market ranges, see our land clearing cost guide on the blog.
What's the difference between land clearing and forestry mulching?
Clearing with the dozer removes trees and brush entirely — you end up with open, workable dirt, ready for grading or a pad. Forestry mulching grinds brush and small trees into mulch that stays on the ground, so there's no burn pile or haul-off and the topsoil stays put. We do both, and we'll tell you which fits your land and budget.
Can you build a pond on my property?
Yes — ponds are one of our favorite jobs. We dig and shape stock ponds and retention ponds, use the spoil dirt on site where it makes sense, and leave you clean, shaped banks. If you have a spot in mind, we'll come look at it and give you a straight answer on whether the ground will hold water and what it'll take.
How do estimates work?
They're free, and they happen at the property, not over the phone. Clearing and dirt prices live in details you can't see from a call — how thick the growth is, how wet the ground is, access for the equipment. We walk the land with you, talk through what you want, and give you a real number.
How do I get started?
Call (409) 289-0802 or (409) 673-8073, or send the form on this site. You'll be talking to the family, not a call center — we'll talk through the job, come walk the property with you, and get you a free estimate.
